When I was young and would complain about going to school, my Dad used to tell me to stop wishing my life away….That time moves far too quickly when you ‘grow up’ and years would seem to disappear in the blink of an eye. But obviously being the wise and knowledgeable 14 year old that I was I would scoff at him and continue to willing wish my school years away.
But as with all pearls of wisdom my parents have shared with me over the year this is yet another one that has proved to be true. Because honestly it feels like just a few months ago that I was sitting writing up my year end blog post for 2016. But here I am in what seems like the blink of an eye kissing 2017 goodbye, and getting ready to embrace 2018.
When I was thinking about what I wanted to talk about in this final blog post of 2017 I knew instantly that I didn’t want to write up a boring post. Telling you about the places I have enjoyed over the last 365 days, and the great new additions to the exciting vibrant Glasgow food scene, of which their have been lots….I feel like I’ve been there and done that with that type of year end post. Instead I wanted to show you guys my year in all it’s technicolour glory.
You see one of my favourite things this year has been the addition of my monthly montage videos on Instagram. If you don’t follow me on insta and have no clue what I am talking about, each month I created a minute long video showing what I had been up to. So I thought it might be a bit more fun to create a full length montage video of my year to share with you along with a few of my favourite pics from 2017.
Thank you so much for once again being part of my year and helping to make it awesome by continuing to read the blog. So as we welcome in the new year I urge you all in 2018 to be totally kick ass & super kind.
Let’s make 2018 our best year yet kids!
