In the unlikely case of a data breach, all users will be contacted within 72 hours and every effort will be made to secure or delete data as soon as possible.

Our website contains links to our social accounts and other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Data Collected 

Mailing List: So that we can send out an email newsletter, some personal data is collected from readers - this information will be obtained by the user imputing their email address into the relevant entries boxes on the website.  This will allow us to send subscribers relevant email updates within our newsletter - such as food recommendations, competitions, discounts and recipes. 

Cookies: We use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site, which device they have accessed the site on, whether they accessed via Google or social media, and their geographical location. This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting the website.


The collection of data such as email addresses for mailing lists  is collected only with the users’ consent.

Consent may be revoked at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of any newsletter. Personal data is used for no other purpose than to send you information relating to the blog, and is not passed on to anyone else outwith Glasgow Food Geek.


The collection of data through cookies is collected only with the consent of users’ to use cookies through their specific browser.
